The Careers and Enterprise Company

The Careers & Enterprise Company (CEC) was established by Government in 2014 to better improve links between education institutions and employers. Since 2017 its role has been expanded to support all secondary schools and colleges in England to work towards all of the Gatsby benchmarks with tools, resources and targeted funding. Click below for links to some of the key aspects of the CEC’s support offer.

Compass+ is the CEC’s tool to help schools measure their progress against the eight Gatsby benchmarks and manage, track and report on their careers programmes. It is designed to integrate with schools’ Management Information Systems (MIS), using pupil-level data for targeted delivery and more effective evaluation. Compass+ is freely available for all eligible secondary schools, special schools, sixth forms and Pupil Referral Units in England. Compass Classic is available for use by colleges.
